Picking out costumes, my daughter chose the $30 Disney Princess dress - complete outfit with multiple layers of clothing. My son, on the other hand, chose this $5 gas mask because it's "cool". Wanting to help with his costume, I made a little hazardous materials container out of styrofoam (2 square pieces that I glued together and carved up with a big knife... lmao~). We painted it (and used permanent marker until we can get some black paint), and will add glow-in-the-dark paint to it on Halloween night to make it look like it's leaking. I also plan on buying a tiny disposable painter's suit (the white full-body suit with the hood) to go with it to make it look like he's got the full hazardous material handling suit going on. Hopefully it'll turn out well.
